Welcome to Metro
Home Educators!
Metro Home Educators (MHE) is a nonprofit,
unincorporated association organized to provide educational opportunities for
homeschooling students and a supportive network for home educators residing in
Black Hawk and neighboring counties.
Homeschoolers are welcome to associate with MHE
regardless of religious affiliation or philosophy of education. As an
organization, however, MHE has a Bible-believing, born-again Christian
perspective.
MHE offers Monday Co-op, C.O.R.E. Classes for Upper
Elementary, Middle School, and High School, as well as the offerings listed in
the left side-bar on this page. More information about Monday Co-op and
C.O.R.E can be found by clicking the links with the same names toward the top of
the screen.

Book-It Program Change
The *2008-09 BOOK-IT Program* has been
changed. BOOK-IT enrollment is now being accepted on an individual family basis
only. To enroll, simply visit the following website, http://bookitprogram.com
click on the homeschool button, then fill in your information. Orders can
also be placed by calling the Book-it hotline at 1-800-426-6548. Program
materials will be distributed directly to each family by mid-September, 2008.

Summer Park Dates
The park days are all on Thursdays at
Lookout Park in Cedar Falls. We have the large shelter on the left as you
are facing the park reserved from 10:00am to 4:00pm, however, most of us
show up between 11 and noon. The dates for June through August
are as follows: June 5, June 19, June 26, July 10, July 24, August 7, August
21. Usually if it rains on the scheduled day we meet at Chuck E. Cheeses for
